The way that I interpret a fashion story is simply a platform where society can experience a sense of liberation and individualism. It serves to amplify the way in which fashion can be used as a language to let ones personality shine through. However, a still image can only allow for so much expression, so by utilising the contact sheet technique the subject is able to show off all of their unique characteristics. Furthermore, one can easily see the various identities of each person by seeing each frame as a story. So often society gets stuck in following trends and loses sight of their sense of self. These series aim to celebrate diversity and identity through the use of fashion.
